The organizers

The International Association of Hydrogeologists (IAH) was founded in 1956. During its almost seventy-year of history, it has grown to a worldwide membership of more than 4000 individuals. It is a scientific and educational charitable organisation for scientists, engineers, water managers and other professionals working in the fields of groundwater resource planning, management and protection. IAH is a leading international society for the science and practice of hydrogeology and a globally recognised information source and facilitator for the transfer of groundwater knowledge. Its efforts are carried out through its many National Chapters (groups), Scientific/Topic based Commissions and Networks; its international team of Council members, and its UK based Secretariat. The main organizer of this conference, the Hungarian National Chapter of IAH, was established in 2006.

The Local Organizing Committee brings together Hungarian hydrogeologists from all over the world. Together with Hungary’s leading research universities, institutions, scientific associations and companies, our shared goal is to foster strong and dynamic connections between the scientific community, industry participants and stakeholders, ensuring a lively, enjoyable, and fruitful event.
